X-ray cabinet complies with the strictest international regulations for fully shielded radiation devices. The cabinet is completely self-contained, manufactured in steel with complete lead shielding, does not require any further shielding and can be located safely in any workplace area. The cabinet can be transported by fork-lift.
The system is designed with a single sliding top door automatically moved by servomotor controlled by inverter. The pipes to be inspected are loading from the top by a crane or manually. X-ray ON warning light.

For checking the small diameter pipes the manipulator consists in one tilted turntable which rotation is controlled by CNC for high accuracy. The sensor (flat panel digital detector) and the X-ray tube are aligned in a fixed position in order to have the projection of the weld in the area of the sensor. The turntable tilting allows operating in double wall mode avoiding any over positioning of the weld, the result will be an ellipse.
For checking the big diameter pipes the manipulator consists in four rollers which rotation is controlled by CNC for high accuracy. The pipe is placed on these strong motorized rollers. The sensor (flat panel digital detector) and the X-ray tube are aligned in a fixed position in order to have the projection of the weld in the area of the sensor. In this case there is no tilting because the inspection will be in single wall mode without any overlap.
The XRS 225 is equipped with a Bosello HT made high voltage generator and tube XRT 225 HP. Typically equipped with amorphous silicon digital Flat Panel Detector, ADC 14/16 bits, resolution 200 µ.
An operator panel with the main functions, pushbuttons and joysticks for axes movement realize in a small and ergonomic desk top console. On the desk is also located the screens (monitors). A 19” VGA monitor for user interface, programming, image processing and diagnostic functions.
The inspection programs are made by teach-in software which allows for the storage of several programs. X-ray kV and mA variation is also automatically controlled by RS 232 serial interface. The personal computer can be connected to the peripheral devices (printers etc.). An Ethernet port is also available for connection with a local area network (LAN).
